One 60-day journey circling the Australian Coast was terminated days after the tragic passing of an senior female passenger who was stranded by the ship on a distant tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been walking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but broke off from the excursion for a pause. The liner sailed away leaving her and came back several hours later after the personnel discovered the passenger was missing.

An extensive rescue mission located her body the next day.

Investigative bodies are looking into the tragedy, alongside law enforcement and the medical examiner.
